With posters, Fliers having been sighted in multiple cities, anticipation is high for the NPL Season 7 finals. Teams from various states have meticulously prepared to elevate this tournament, renowned as one of Africa’s longest-standing PUBG Mobile competitions, to unprecedented heights of excitement and competition. It is in this regard that NPL is regarded as one of the most prestigious tournaments
History of Nigeria Pro League
The prestigious tournament which started 2018 and has grown to be one of the biggest in Africa Esports and PUBG. NPL comes with bigger bragging rights than almost any other PUBG tournament in Nigeria and Africa.

Going down memory lane, NPL will be holding for its 7th season and this is more than a testament to what growth is. Winners of each editions are;
- First edition: Wildbreed
- Second edition: Slime 4kt
- Third edition: House of Anubis
- Fourth edition: Slime 4kt
- Fifth edition: 03 Brothers
- Sixth edition: 1011
Unfortunately no team has been able to win the cup back to back (some could make an argument for House of Anubis being the same as Slime 4kt), maybe, just maybe 1011 would be able to do that. They have represented Nigeria in several events. They also showed consistency in the splits this year, although they are not the only team to show consistency.
NPL Season 7 Expectations
In a strategic move to elevate NPL Season 7 to unprecedented heights, 10n8e brought together industry leaders by inviting Tencent, the masterminds behind PUBG Mobile, to its Lagos headquarters. This collaborative effort aimed to synergize expertise and innovation, ensuring that the upcoming tournament would set a new benchmark for Esports in Africa.

NPL has significantly increased its prize pool from the previous season’s one million Naira to a staggering two million Naira. This substantial boost in reward underscores the tournament’s growing prominence and the organizers’ commitment to rewarding top-tier talent. While the allure of a doubled cash prize is undoubtedly enticing, audience can also look forward to a range of exciting merchandise to be distributed throughout the event, adding another layer of excitement and competition.
The tournament would also feature side attractions like the cosplays. With over 800 expected attendees, being pulled together by gaming and especially PUBG, and a sprinkle of cosplays to make the tournament more eventful is something to look out for.
