Gamr Africa, one of Africa’s biggest gaming companies in Africa is back with its most anticipated esports tournament, Gamr X presenting this year’s theme: Xhodus: The Gaming Way.
Last year, Gamr X Tournament tagged “Brave For X” was an exceptional event for those who attended and participated. It was exceptional, drawing in 6,000 participants and enthusiasts from over 20 countries to witness thrilling competitions in Lagos.
Top players from different countries in Africa gathered to showcase their skills and watch other skilled players display their talents, awards were also presented to industry leaders and teams to recognize their efforts to revolutionize the esports industry in Nigeria and Africa.
The event also featured a FIFA23 face-off between two music artists from Mavin Records; Ladipoe and Crayon.
This year, Gamr Africa has introduced two new activities to the event taking place at Landmark Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos on the 4th of May, 2024.
Gaming titles like Candy Crush and Just Dance will be introduced to give casual players a chance to also have fun while watching the pro players battle it out in other competitive titles.



The qualifiers for PUBG, CODM, and Free Fire were concluded a few days ago and have produced the top teams to continue in the competition. The finals will take place in collaboration with Lagos Games week on the 4th of May, 2024.
This year’s Gamr X boasts a 15,000,000 naira prize pool up for grabs to be divided among the best players and top teams among about 5,000 gamers from 20 African countries.
Gaming titles that will be featured in this year’s edition include Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter, Tekken 8, PUBG, FC24, Free Fire, Apex Legends, and Call of Duty Mobile.

Also, your favorite celebrities will participate in the competition, so you should not miss the chance to cheer for and watch them
dive into competitive gameplay.
Cosplayers will also take to the stage to showcase their creativity and skills in exhibition matches. Also, Attendees might get the chance to relive their childhood memories in games like Bounce Ball, Pinball Star, and Killerbean.
