Tournament Overview

The PMCC Nigeria Qualifiers 2024 is a high-stakes competition featuring 16 top teams from nine Nigerian universities and colleges. Schools participating in the tournament include the University of Lagos, University of Ibadan, University of Abuja, University of Port Harcourt, Lagos State University, and more. Over the course of two weeks, from October 12th to October 28th, 2024, these teams will battle it out in a series of 24 matches, all for a share of the massive ₦10,000,000 prize pool.

This year’s format follows a point system where teams earn points based on their placement and eliminations during each match. With a mix of classic PUBG Mobile maps like Erangel, Miramar, and Sanhok, the stage is set for intense action and strategic gameplay.

How to Register

To participate, teams must register via the official PMCC Nigeria WhatsApp group or the 10N8E Discord Server. Here’s a quick rundown of the registration requirements:

• Team Composition: Each team should consist of 4 players and may have up to 2 substitutes.
  
• Eligibility: Players must be 16 years or older, with students under 18 needing parental consent. All participants must be registered students of the institution they are representing.
  
• Verification: Teams will go through a verification process where they will need to provide school IDs, photos, and other details to confirm their eligibility.
  
• Deadline: Registration closes 48 hours before each regional event, so make sure to get your team ready and verified in time!

Regional Qualifiers and Team Slots

The tournament will begin with regional qualifiers across four major regions:

1. Lagos Qualifier – Held at the University of Lagos on October 27th, 2024. This qualifier will feature teams from various colleges in Lagos, with 6 teams advancing to the finals.
   
2. Ibadan Qualifier – Hosted at the University of Ibadan on October 24th, 2024, this region will send 3 teams to the finals. This is open to students from institutions in Oyo, Ogun, Osun, and surrounding states.
   
3. Abuja Qualifier – Taking place at the University of Abuja on October 13th, 2024, this regional event will have 3 teams moving on to the finals, featuring participants from northern Nigeria.
   
4. Port Harcourt Qualifier – Held at the University of Port Harcourt on October 19th, 2024, with 4 teams advancing to the finals from schools in the South-South and South-East regions.

Each region will have its top teams move forward, and no school can send more than 2 teams to the grand finals to ensure balanced competition.

Match Point System

The match point system for the 2024 PMCC Nigeria Qualifiers will be based on team placement in each match and the number of eliminations (kills). Points are awarded as follows:

Placement Points:

• 1st Place: 10 points
• 2nd Place: 6 points
• 3rd Place: 5 points
• 4th Place: 4 points
• 5th Place: 3 points
• 6th Place: 2 points
• 7th – 8th Places: 1 point
• 9th – 16th Places: 0 points

Elimination Points:

• 1 Point per elimination (kill)

Teams will need to balance survival with securing eliminations to gain maximum points during each match.

Prize Pool Distribution

The total prize pool for the 2024 PMCC Nigeria Qualifiers is ₦10,000,000 (Ten Million Naira). The prize money is distributed based on the team’s overall placement during the Final of the tournament:

• 1st Place: ₦1,500,000
• 2nd Place: ₦1,100,000
• 3rd Place: ₦950,000
• 4th Place: ₦850,000
• 5th Place: ₦750,000
• 6th Place: ₦700,000
• 7th Place: ₦650,000
• 8th Place: ₦600,000
• 9th Place: ₦550,000
• 10th Place: ₦500,000
• 11th Place: ₦450,000
• 12th Place: ₦400,000
• 13th Place: ₦350,000
• 14th Place: ₦300,000
• 15th Place: ₦200,000

Prizes will be paid in Naira within 90 days after the conclusion of the tournament. Players are advised to complete all required tax forms and other necessary documentation to avoid delays.
