Eniola Edun Inaugurated as Chairperson of Lagos State Esports Association

GAMR co-founder and CEO Eniola Edun has been inaugurated as Chairperson of the Lagos State Esports Association (LSEA), the esports body operating under the Lagos State Sports Commission. Uchenna Uzoma, CEO of gaming platform GamePride, was inaugurated alongside her as Vice Chairperson.

Eniola co-founded GAMR in 2021 to address gaps in professional esports infrastructure across Africa, building on years of experience organizing tournaments under the Techplus tech conference platform. Since then, she has grown GAMR into one of Nigeria's more visible esports operators, running the Gamrx tournament series and community-facing initiatives such as GamrLab, a game development and esports training facility.

Uzoma brings over a decade of experience in business development and strategic partnerships to the role. As CEO of GamePride, he leads a platform positioned as one of the leading esports and gaming platforms serving Africa and emerging markets, offering tournaments, creator monetization tools and coaching resources for gamers on the continent.

The inauguration carried the backing of the Lagos State Sports Commission and the Lagos State Government, both represented in the event's official materials. The appointment marks a continuation of state-level involvement in structuring Lagos' esports ecosystem, an area where LSEA has previously worked with industry players, GAMR included, on partnerships and qualifier events.
