Kings are not made by careless claims, they are crowned. Petabyte brings the tournament that crowns the new EAFC king with the EAFC Crown League. The aim is to set a benchmark that amateur players can stand on and brag about as their starting point. The inaugural season of the EAFC Crown League is set to be held in 2026.
Petabyte partnered with Burger king outlets to provide amazing experience for players and spectators, setting a scene to feed the mouth with tasty bites and feed the eyes with competitive gaming. The tour will be in and around abeokuta in different burger king outlets. From Ogun state to every region in Nigeria, the tour will include states like Oyo, Edo, the FCT, Rivers state amongst others. While registration for Ogun state ends 27th of December, other states have a chance to register till the 27th of January.
The entry is to be free for any participant that wants the title of being a champ, the only requirement that is needed is showing with confidence and skills to claim the prize, it is to be noted that the slots are limited and only the first come will be served with registration for the event.
There is a total prize pool of 200,000 naira for the player who can back up all the talks. The same player will be crowned the first-ever winner of the EAFC Crown League, a worthy bragging right. Streams will be up from the 2nd of January, and the competition starts proper on the 4th of January, 2025.
Competitiveness is guaranteed, as a resul,t a league format is used as the structure of this tournament. Every month, 20 players will go up against eachother in a round robin system, here is to show which player can confidently steal points from the others. An amateur league will be created where the last 5 from each state will relegate to while the top 5 will move up to a pro league. All road of the league leads to the crown, which will be placed on the winner at the end of the year.
