Team Pride Crowned NPL Season 9 Champions at Lagos Grand Finals

Team Pride has been named champions of the Nigerian Pro League Season 9, closing out the LAN Grand Finals at Waterfall Event Centre in Ikeja, Lagos over the weekend. The team topped the standings heading into the offline stage with a 13 point lead and carried that momentum through to the final day, dethroning Season 8 champions Neon Outlaws to claim the NPL Champion S9 title.

Team Pride's victory came with a ₦1,000,000 payout, while Neon Outlaws finished as runners up and took home ₦500,000 for a second place finish after a season where they stood tall under pressure through to the very end. Arab T Esports rounded out the podium in third place with a ₦300,000 payout, capping off what organizers described as one of the toughest seasons the league has seen. The individual honours went to Team Pride's Begho, who was named the tournament's Most Valuable Player and awarded ₦50,000 for a standout run through the Grand Finals. The results bring Season 9 to a close after a month long run through qualifiers, group stage and last chance rounds that narrowed a field of 35 teams down to the sixteen who competed for a share of the prize pool at the Grand Finals.

Team Pride's win marks a new chapter for Nigerian PUBG Mobile esports, with the team crediting the season's work behind the win. "We came, we fought, we conquered," the team said following their victory, extending appreciation to every teammate who put in the work and respect to all the participating teams for an incredible competition.
