The Naija Guild Leaders’ Assembly (NGLA) has announced NGLA National Champions 2026, a national Free Fire tournament developed in partnership with Prospera App, positioning Nigeria within a broader continental competitive framework leading to the Unity Series 2026.
The tournament will serve as Nigeria’s official qualification pathway to the Unity Series, with the top two teams advancing to compete against 22 elite teams representing multiple African nations. Parallel National Champions qualifiers are scheduled across Sudan, Madagascar, Senegal, Togo, Zambia, and South Africa, with Sierra Leone currently under consideration pending discussions with local leadership. Registration for the National Champions tournament opens in February 2026, with matches played in Battle Royale Esports Mode (Squad format) with 60 teams and 240 total players.
According to Fathiu “Inspider” Ayoade, Founder of NGLA: “This tournament establishes a transparent and scalable pathway from national competition to
continental representation. Partnering with Prospera allows us to strengthen the commercial and operational foundations required to grow Nigerian esports sustainably.”

Team Leaders are responsible for submitting screenshots for all team members.

Step 7: Verification & Confirmation
