KGR E Football League Season 2 Opens Registration as "A New King" Storyline Begins

The Kansas Gaming Rankings (KGR) E Football League has announced the return of its flagship competitive football gaming series, with Season 2 set to run through the 2026/2027 cycle. Organized in collaboration with the Naija E-Football Community, the monthly league gives players a structured, professional environment to compete for the league's top prize pool and a shot at the championship crown.

Key Details

Season 2 will run a two-division structure, each holding 20 teams (players), for a total of 40 competitors league-wide. New entrants register directly into Division 2, while returning and higher-ranked players compete in Division 1.

The season carries a total prize pool of ₦200,000, which organizers have confirmed is fully funded ahead of kickoff, shared across league criteria including standings, hall of fame recognitions, and MVP honors.

Each season will feature:

Division championships

Promotion and relegation between divisions

A Hall of Fame

Daily fixture updates and a live league table

Seasonal statistics and MVP awards

At the end of the season, the top 6 teams from Division 2 will be promoted to Division 1, while the bottom 6 teams in Division 1 will be relegated to Division 2. The competition then closes with the KGR Champions League, a knockout event featuring the top 8 finishers from both divisions, culminating in what organizers are billing as the season's best finals.

The announcement leans into a title race narrative, referencing past standouts Dimeji and Tahir before last season's breakout winner, known as 8th, who organizers say "swept everyone under the carpet." With the throne now vacant heading into Season 2, KGR is framing the new campaign around one central question: who becomes the next king?
