Kenya Gaming Festival Crowns Its First-Ever Champions

The first-ever Kenya Gaming Festival (KGF) has come to a close, and five champions have been crowned across the event's flagship titles. Organized by CZY Esports and pioneered by Home Boyz Kenya, the inaugural festival brought together competitors across eFootball Mobile, PUBG Mobile, EA Sports FC 26, Tekken 8, and Brawlhalla for what organizers described as an event "full of intense battles, clutch moments, and nonstop gaming."

The Kenya Gaming Festival 2026 crowned the following champions:

eFootball Mobile: Bukhari 

PUBG Mobile: Kidiri 

EA Sports FC 26: Shaq 

Brawlhalla: Carson 

Tekken 8: Frost 

The festival was presented by CZY Esports and Home Boyz Kenya, with Safaricom serving as headline sponsor and Grange Park Drinking Water as the event's official water partner. Safaricom's involvement extended beyond sponsorship, with organizers crediting the telecom giant for elevating the event through its Efootball Dimba Mkononi tournament, which organizers said helped make the atmosphere "electric."

Each champion was celebrated individually across dedicated feature graphics, with Bukhari's eFootball Mobile title marking the tournament's opening showcase before PUBG Mobile, FC 26, Tekken 8, and Brawlhalla winners were unveiled in turn.

A Landmark for Kenyan Esports

Organizers were emphatic about the significance of the event, calling it a historic first for the country's gaming community. In their closing statement, CZY Esports thanked every competitor who "stepped up, competed, and gave it their all," while singling out Home Boyz Kenya for pioneering the festival and Safaricom for its role in shaping the esports experience.

The post-event message to the five champions was direct: "You've made history." Organizers also confirmed the festival will return, telling fans to expect a second edition of the Kenya Gaming Festival in the future.

With its first edition now in the books, the Kenya Gaming Festival adds a new fixture to East Africa's growing competitive gaming calendar, spanning battle royale, fighting, sports, and platform fighter titles under one multi-game banner. For Bukhari, Kidiri, Shaq, Frost, and Carson, the KGF 2026 titles mark the start of what organizers are already framing as a new chapter for Kenyan esports.
