GamrX 4th edition (GamrX4rce): A Gaming 4rce Awakens

Gamr has been on the impressive feat of organising GamrX for 4 years running. This year, Gamr made it a force to reckon with. GamrX 4th edition was titled GamrX4rce for a reason and the event delivered rightly so.

Participants and Esport enthusiasts came from different parts of Africa. The event had its usual energy and tournaments. It had all the cosplays from different anime fans and lovers, it had different booths for gaming studios and sponsors. The event also featured games like Call of Duty Mobile, the combat esports, street fighter and Mortal Kombat and also EAFC.

Despite the shift in date from 14th of June to August 8th, the fans of Gamr were still eager to show up. The atmosphere was at peak during the event. There were board games for casual gamers and other activities to keep everyone active.

The Forces: Winners

The twist this year is the introduction of a female category for the EAFC, where a big blow was dealt to Nigeria by Ghana. Gamergirl Nica from Ghana won the first ever edition of the tournament, making her the only Ghanaian to win a tournament.

Sierra Seven called out every team in Nigeria, asking for a fight after strolling through the tournament and winning it 3 times in a row, setting yet another record. No doubt they can be considered to be the most accomplished Call of Duty Mobile team for Multiplayer.

This victory is just days after winning the carry1st Regional finals in Lagos, this should also serve as a momentum to take into finals of the carry1st cup.
