One of Nigeria’s first competitive esports platforms uniting gamers across Africa and providing a safe space for organizers to host events and tournaments, Gamr Africa has joined hands with the team at the National Youth Conference, backed up by the Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports Development at a three days conference in Abuja to educate about 1,000 youths including Youth corps members on the wave of esports in Nigeria and beyond, train them on game development with the use of a developing tool called “Unreal engine” and enlighten them on career paths in the esports world, at no cost.
The esports industry is currently moving at a fast pace and it is encouraging to observe that the government of Nigeria recognises and supports this industry.

We also give kudos to Gamr Africa for taking it upon themselves to spread the gospel of esports across Nigeria and Africa at large through the numerous events and tournaments organized on their platform.
If you feel you missed the ongoing conference, no worries, as it is the tip of the iceberg. Gamr Africa is organizing a one-month program in which thirty individuals will be selected to go through intensive physical training scheduled to begin in Lagos on the 15th of November, 2021.
Registration for the National youth conference is currently ongoing and the criteria for registering is not being a professional gamer or winning several tournaments but a strong laptop, a mind open to learning, and evidence that you really need the training, so if you qualify for this, click here to register.
