Gamefest 2025: 10N8E Is Bringing Esports to Your Campus

Share

Calling all student gamers! Whether you’re a casual player, competitive grinder, or just gaming-curious – it’s time to show up, show out, and rep your campus.

Africa’s leading esports solution provider, 10N8E Esports, is officially launching Gamefest, a brand-new university esports tour and it kicks off on May 3rd, 2025, at the University of Ibadan.

What is Gamefest?

Gamefest is more than a tournament –  it’s a gaming experience. Designed specifically for university and college students in Nigeria, it’s a chance to:

  • Compete in top-tier game titles
  • Meet fellow gamers on your campus
  • Win prizes, rewards, and exclusive recognition
  • Be part of the first-ever Rep Your Campus championship

Think of it as a festival of esports culture right in your school – no long travels, no industry gatekeeping –  just you, your squad, and the controller.

What Schools Are Involved?

The 2025 Gamefest tour will visit:

  • University of Ibadan – May 3rd (Tour kickoff)
  • University of Lagos
  • University of Benin
  • University of Port Harcourt
  • Universities in Abuja

These locations were chosen based on their strong student communities and past esports involvement – especially from the PUBG Mobile Campus Championship, which 10N8E helped organize last year.

What Games Can You Compete In?

10N8E is known for repping mobile-first titles, but they’re also listening to students. The final game lineup was built based on feedback from each campus. Expect a mix of:

  • Popular mobile esports games
  • Crowd-favorite titles chosen by students
  • Surprise additions throughout the tour

Each campus will have 166 available slots for students to register and compete in multiple games. It’s first come, first served, so don’t sleep on signups! Visit Gamefest official website: Gamefest.10n8e.gg

The winners across each game will be crowned as Rep Your Campus Champions – and yes, there’s glory involved.

What Do You Win?

Besides bragging rights (which are very real), Gamefest offers:

  • ₦25,000 Cash Prize – Each game title winner walks away with a cool ₦25,000. That’s right – compete, win, and cash out.
  • GP Tokens – Earn them by registering, playing, or winning. These tokens can be redeemed on 10n8e.gg for real rewards like gadgets, merch, and products from partners like Monster, Carbon, and Infinix.
  • Digital Trophies – Permanent online proof of your win. These digital achievements will live on your player profile – and could even help you land a spot on future esports teams.

Why Gamefest Matters

Here’s what Mr. Adebayo, founder of 10N8E, told us:

Gamefest is about community. We want students to compete, connect, and discover what’s possible through gaming. It’s also a way for us to introduce new game titles and help grow Esports from the ground up. Our focus is to help people grow and be the best they can become.

And that’s exactly why Gamefest exists –  to give Nigerian students real opportunities in Esports, from casual fun to pro-level potential.
