April happened to be entertaining and thrilling in the esports industry as CODM AFRICA organized the African nations cup, one of the best continental gaming matchups in Esports.

The CODM African All-stars Nations Cup which consisted of the best pro players from different African countries was live on April 23rd-24th, 2022. The countries that participated in the tournament included Senegal, Tanzania, Kenya, Ghana, Zambia, Nigeria, Malawi, and South Africa, all of who battled for the cash prize of $100.

TEAM NIGERIA, led by Dre defeated TEAM MALAWI in what happened to be a classic showdown, this ushered them straight into the semi-finals. TEAM GHANA, led by DonDada conquered TEAM SENEGAL in what went on to transform into a West African showpiece also seeing them through to the semi-finals. TEAM TANZANIA was also taken out of the competition by TEAM SOUTH AFRICA, led by Meez and TEAM KENYA led by MJ won against TEAM ZAMBIA, seeing them all through to the semi-finals.

It all went down to the wire in the semi-finals however only two teams could advance into the finals; TEAM NIGERIA and TEAM SOUTH AFRICA defeated TEAM GHANA and TEAM KENYA respectively heading straight into the finals. 

The finals didn’t fail to deliver as TEAM NIGERIA and TEAM SOUTH AFRICA had to cross swords up until the end, a fierce competition indeed, which eventually saw TEAM NIGERIA led by Dre, emerging as Champions of the CODM AFRICAN NATIONS CUP. 

Third place was also played by TEAM GHANA and TEAM KENYA and TEAM GHANA came out triumphant. 

The event was sponsored by THE REPUBLIC and was spectacular in all ramifications, It amassed a total of 10,173 views with an average view of 354.1.
