CAGE26 Postponed to 2027, Cade Esports Confirms Rivalry Series Still On This Weekend

Cade Esports has announced that CAGE26, its flagship gaming tournament, has been postponed until 2027. The announcement comes as a disappointment to fans who had been anticipating the event, though organizers were quick to reassure the community that the competitive spirit behind the tournament isn't going anywhere.

In a statement shared across its channels, Cade Esports confirmed, "CAGE26 has been postponed till 2027, but the energy, competition, and rivalry aren't going anywhere. We'll be back bigger, better, and ready to make history."

The tournament had lined up backing from a broad roster of partners and sponsors, including GameEvo, GamePride, Esports Africa News, Trace, OAS Esports, Kon10dr, AFC, and Nexal Gaming Company, all of whom remain attached to the rescheduled event.

While CAGE26 itself won't return until next year, Cade Esports confirmed that competitive action isn't pausing altogether. A Rivalry Series is set to take place this weekend, giving fans and competitors a chance to scratch the competitive itch while the wait for CAGE26 continues.

Cade Esports closed its announcement with a direct message to the community: "Stay locked. CAGE26 is still coming." For now, attention shifts to this weekend's Rivalry Series as the next marker on Cade Esports' September checklists. 

What is Rivalry? 

The Rivalry Series, organized by Cade Esport, will run for three days from September 4th to 6th, hosted at CCHQ in Ikeja, Lagos. The tournament brings together eight teams representing five African nations: Nigeria, Ghana, Senegal, Côte d'Ivoire, and Kenya in a battle to crown a single continental champion. 

CGE26 is now positioned as a marquee event to watch for in 2027.
