The Lagos Comic Convention is one of the largest annual gaming events in Nigeria, dedicated to celebrating African pop culture, especially in comics, animation, gaming, and related fields.
For over 12 years, the Lagos Comic Con has drawn a growing crowd of about 6,000 attendees from the gaming, cosplay, comic, film, and animation industries, all coming together to celebrate creativity in diversity.
Last year’s event featured around 15 sponsors and partners, including AfricaComicade and Maliyo Games, about 30 exhibitors and vendors like Kugali, and over 60 speakers.
The 2023 convention offered a range of panel sessions designed to support attendees’ career development and answer pressing industry questions. Highlights included the career development panel and freelance editing panel in the game and animation zone, where industry experts shared their insights.
This year, the organizers have planned numerous fun and educational activities, such as:

The theme for this year’s convention, held at the Landmark Event Center in Oniru, Lagos, is “Creative Diversity.” Tickets, including Regular, VIP, and VVIP options, are available on Nairabox and Deela.com.
Although this year’s panelists have not been revealed, they will include renowned comic artists, animators, game developers, filmmakers, and industry experts who have been integral to the convention’s success.
