₦100,000 Per Title: The Tournaments Coming to AniWeCon 2026

AniWeCon 2026: Beyond Fury lands at the Paradise Event Arena, Lagos on Saturday, 15 August, running 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. It is a six-track convention covering anime, gaming, cosplay, seminars, art and awards, but the gaming floor is the part worth clearing your calendar for.

Four titles have been confirmed for competition so far:

• Call of Duty: Mobile

• Mobile Legends: Bang Bang

• Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4

• Clash Royale

More are still to be announced. Each tournament carries a ₦100,000 grand prize for its champion, so the money scales with the number of brackets rather than being split across a single pot. Whoever takes a title walks away with the full ₦100,000.

The selection is a sensible read of the room. CODM and MLBB bring Nigeria's established mobile competitive scene. Clash Royale picks up the casual-competitive crowd. Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 is the crossover title that puts anime fans and fighting game players in the same bracket. The fighting game community has already been asking for more, with the most repeated question under the announcement being whether Mortal Kombat 1 makes the lineup.

Beyond the brackets, the convention closes with the AniWeCon Awards, which include an Esports Champion category alongside Cosplayer of the Year, Best Independent Digital Artist and Breakout Content Creator.

AniWe has been running anime and gaming events in Nigeria since 2014, most recently pulling more than 2,000 attendees to its last convention. Gaming partners attached to this edition include Game Evo, Africa Comicade, Meta4, i-Fitness and the Japan-Africa Entertainment Business Council.

Passes start at around ₦9,900 through the official event page, and checking in on the day earns attendees 50 tokens on AniWe's platform.
