About Our Rankings
Upon getting approval from major tournament organisers and community handlers to use their data, we collect, analyse and process the data of team performances from their top-tier competition matches to create up-to-date rankings for the different games that we cover.
These rankings span across multiple major tournaments in and around Africa and are reset twice a year.
Rankings may be updated as tournaments are played but the tournament results may not be published until the end of a tournament. These results can always be viewed on our tournament results page
For details of our calculations for each ranking, see the dropdowns below. These calculations are subject to change at the end of every ranking season (6 months)
Three key metrics are used for points calculation in our PUBG Rankings. These include the number of kills by a team in a game, their final position at the end of a game and the final winner at the end of the game.
- For our rankings, a kill in a match gives a team 1 point
- Final position points are given in reverse order based on the number of oppositions i.e., 15 points to the 1st placed team in a game of 15 teams, 14 points to the second placed team, 13 points to the third place and so on etc.
- Then 5 points for the last surviving team at the end of a match.
The sum of these 3 metrics make up our PUBG Points system
Ranking data collection and processing were commenced by the NGC in the month of July 2021
